Snow camp

We had a great time with the junior high youth group at Camp Friedenswald this weekend. There were lots of things to do like a nature walk, naked tubing.

3 Kings, a swim meet and snow.

Since we were supposed to have school on Three King’s Day, the “Camels” came a few days early. I don’t know that they would have liked the snow and cold anyway

Saturday we had an early morning swim meet. Cade, Wyatt and I left the house at 6:20 a.m. to go to the meet at Notre Dame. Cade and Wyatt both made it to the finals, which were late Saturday afternoon. We went home after the morning session and all five of us went back for the finals.

Cade swam a 500 yd free and 100 yd breaststroke final.

Cade received a medal for the 100 breaststroke.

Everyone was hungry after either swimming or cheering so we headed over to 5 Guys Burgers and Fries to refuel! After a short trip to Barnes and Noble we made a snowy trip home.

This is a glimpse of the backyard on Monday.

The boys even made it outside for a few minutes in the frigid temps to dig and burrow in the snow.

Everyone should be sound asleep after a day at school and swimming.
