Lincoln field trip

Last Monday, I was able to go with Lincoln, and his class, to Merry Lea. Merry Lea is the environmental learning center of Goshen College. We had a beautiful day and a great time.
We were able to shell corn in an old fashioned corn sheller.

Then we ground the corn.

And finally made “Magic Muffins” from the ground corn!

We made apple cider.

Anyone have laundry that needs to be washed? Lincoln would be glad to wash it for you!

Football

Here, finally, is a picture of Cade in his football gear. This was before the game. It was rainy and very muddy for the game. Unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture after the game…injury issues caused me to forget. Rats! Let's just say, the pants, and Cade, didn't look anywhere close to this good!

Friday night FUN!

The weather was perfect for a fire, so we roasted hot dogs and brats and ate around the fire. Daniel, a friend from across the street, joined us for the evening too. Oh yeah, so did Percy, a friend from school that Lincoln got to bring home this weekend!
