What an exciting weekend of baseball. Cade went down to Terre Haute Friday for the State tournament. They had two games yesterday and won both of them.
Wyatt’s team played yesterday for the District championship. It was an excellent game. They were up 4-0 and then Concord came back and took the lead. We went ahead again in the top of the 6th and didn’t let them score in the bottom of the 6th. On to state in Jeffersonville next week!
The last day of our beach vacation…we started off at the beach (of course), went to the aquarium and touched rays, found the best ice cream on the island, and devoured some fabulous food at a restaurant called the Lucky 12 Tavern. Somehow, we did manage to walk up the dunes with all that food in our bellies. (Well, some of us climbed higher than others.)
What a wonderful vacation! (In fact, it was so awesome that Dave and Neesa didn’t want it to end and lengthened their trip by an hour or 2 with an unexpected adventure on their way home!)

July 4th started out with a bang! Matt, Cade and Wyatt all woke up early to run a 5K at 7:00 when the temperature was “cool”. The rest of the day we spent hanging out at the pool and beach and then took in fireworks on the beach that night. What a memory!
A dip in the pool, hanging out at the beach, enjoying a meal at a lovely restaurant, go-karting, a round of 18 holes at a mini golf course, and a beautiful beach themed birthday cake helped make the 40th birthday a little more festive.
It was overcast with a 60% chance of rain, so we decided to have an adventure. We were looking for wild horses a la monster truck style! Imagine riding in the back of this bad boy at 35 mph on the beach, baby! Get your red neck on!
