Carnival time (and hermit crabs)

On the last day in Florida we went to a carnival like place that had go-kart tracks and bumper boats and bumper cars.
I got to drive a go-kart on my own and got to ride in one with dad sometimes, I also got to drive the bumper boats on my but Wyatt couldn't because he wasn't tall enough. Lincoln got to ride the carousel and I also rode it twice. There was one go-kart track Wyatt could ride and he loved it. Lincoln also found a teacup ride that went around in circles.
We got two hermit crabs as a souvenir, their pretty cool except they don't do much.

Here are some slow-motion pictures of Wyatt and I jumping into the pool!

Yesterday was the warmest it has been here. We spent a couple of hours at the beach in the afternoon playing in the sand.

Today we are going to go to a go-kart track! That should be lots of fun!

Sunday Night Excitement

Sunday night after Lincoln's bath and my shower, let's just say... things went a little downhill.

I was drying in the shower and dad left the bathroom to do something and Lincoln was out of the tub. All of a sudden I hear Lincoln crying, I call dad and notice he cut his chin. Mom, dad and Lincoln ended up going to the hospital. He didn't get stitches but the doctor used a special glue to put his chin back together, so now he's always wearing a band-aid on his chin and yes, he'll have a scar on his chin.

Spring Break: Day 1-3

Cade is going to blog about our vacation to Destin, Florida. Here is our vacation in his words!!

We left Friday afternoon as soon as we could for our 900 mile journey. We made it to Bowling Green, Kentucky about 10:30 Friday night. We arrived in Destin, after a detour to avoid road work, around 6 PM, Saturday.

This morning the kids were excited to go to the beach. The water was too dangerous to be in very deep, plus it was too cold! We waded into our calves and played in the sand for an hour or two.

We (kids) made sandcastles and mini ponds.
Mom and I collected seashells for the kids in our classes. We both got at least twenty. It was about 70 degrees with cloudy skies most of the day.

We came back to the pool behind the house we're staying in and got out a bunch of pool toys. Wyatt and Lincoln, as you see, have found a rafts to float on and look pretty happy! Wait 'till I jump in Wyatt, watch out below!
